CloudStorm to showcase "real" Cloud Computing Solutions to UK customers14/09/2009 London, England - CloudStorm, a European focused cloud computing event has announced that London will be the second stop on its tour around major European cities. The event, funded equally by its participants, provides a showcase of cloud computing solutions covering a wide range of areas including application development and deployment, infrastructure, storage, video management and SAAS from leading European technology vendors. Participants, who have just 10 minutes each to present their cloud based offering to the audience, offer a mix of vision, technology and snapshots of the actual Cloud Computing solutions. The presentations are followed by a mini expo and networking party allowing participants to interact on a one-to-one basis. The sponsors, in alphabetical order, include:
The London event follows on from a successful inaugural CloudStorm in Brussels held in early September, which had 200 guests. As Patrick Crasson, Strategic Business Development & Web2.0 "I4BP Angel" at SUN Microsystems explains, "The first CloudStorm was very successful and focused on an audience who have progressed past the stage of just trying to learn about the concept and are now looking for tangible solutions that can help improve their core business and IT related processes. " "Cloud computing is becoming an operational reality that is set to drastically influence how IT is managed, operated, consumed and financed. In the current economic climate, the technology offers many benefits and sets a new maturity level for the IT industry" Crasson adds. CloudStorm allows potential users of Cloud computing technologies to interact with both vendors and other organisations that have successfully deployed real world Cloud solutions. CloudStorm London will take place on the evening of the 13th of October at Inner Temple in London. The event is scheduled just ahead of Storage Expo 2009 to cater for visitors in town to attend the London Olympia show the next day. Attendance to CloudStorm is entirely free but the small venue means that places are limited with complimentary tickets available from the www.CloudStorm.org website on a first come, first served basis. CloudStorm has further events planned in Amsterdam, Paris and Germany which will have the same core sponsors as well as additional regionally focused cloud computing specialists.
